Leak detection

Leak Control Benelux offers the right solution for every leak detection application. We supply and rent advanced leak detectors and leak detection equipment and, as a leak detection company, also perform industrial leak tests on location.

Sell leak detection equipment

In order to be able to offer you the best trace gas leak detection equipment, as a specialized leak detection company we are an official distributor of Inficon/Sensistor, founder of the trace gas (former gas) leak detection method. The unique Sensistor H2 sensor technology ensures high-quality leak detectors specially developed for industrial applications.

You can our leak detection products buy directly.

We are happy to show you the difference between (H2) leak detectors for flammable gases (handhelds) and the unique 100% hydrogen selective leak detectors from Inficon/Sensistor by means of a demonstration on location.

Leak detection equipment rental

If you have the experience and manpower to perform a leak test, you can also rent professional equipment from us.

If desired, we can also provide an instruction on location. Our advanced equipment is very user-friendly and versatile.

Industrial leak detection service and advice

Industrial leak testing

As a leak detection company, we carry out industrial leak tests and detect leaks in your (refrigeration) installations, products and/or parts.

Leak testing is ideal for mitigating safety and environmental risks. They also improve the health, quality and efficiency of existing process installations. In addition, a leak test increases the reliability and performance of process installations and power plants.

Our leak tests are suitable for:

  • Industrial systems
  • Underground pipelines
  • Components
  • Products

Leak detection with forming gas, as carried out by Leak Control Benelux, is an advanced method for detecting leaks in various systems and installations. This technique uses a special gas mixture, known as forming gas, which is a combination of nitrogen and hydrogen. Here's a step-by-step explanation of how the process generally works:

  1. System preparation: Before leak detection begins, the system to be inspected is prepared. This could, for example, be a pipe network, a cooling system, or products (parts). All connections are closed and in some cases the system is pressurized.
  2. Injection of forming gas: The forming gas mixture is injected into the closed system. This gas has unique properties that make it very suitable for leak detection. Hydrogen, which is one of the components, has a very small molecular size with the lowest viscosity of all gases and can therefore easily escape through small openings.
  3. Diffusion of the gas: Once the forming gas is injected into the system, it begins to disperse. Any leaks in the system will allow the gas to escape.
  4. Detection of the gas: An extremely sensitive hydrogen leak detector/leak finder is used to detect the leaked forming gas (file H2). This equipment can take different forms, such as sensors, probes, or ground probe. It can also include a combination of technologies depending on the application and system requirements.
  5. Locating leaks: Once the forming gas is detected, the location of the leak is determined. This can be done by measuring the concentration of the gas at various points around the system, allowing the source of the leak to be accurately located.
  6. Analysis and reporting: After locating the leaks, a detailed analysis is performed to determine the extent and severity of the leaks. A report is prepared with all findings, including the location of the leaks, their size, and any recommended actions for repair.
  7. Repair and recheck: Once the leaks have been identified, repairs can be made to restore the integrity of the system. After repairs, the leak detection process may be repeated to verify that all leaks have been resolved.

The use of forming gas for leak detection offers several advantages, including high sensitivity, accuracy, and speed of detection. In addition, forming gas is not harmful to the environment and can be used safely in a wide range of applications.
